Look out for the next friendly game against St Albans City in the coming weeks
St Albans United Football Club
A friendly, volunteer-run football training club for kids

We’re all super excited about VPFC firstly to have been nominated and now we’re over the moon to be one of the finalists for the Inclusive Communities award in this year’s St Albans Mayor’s Pride awards 2019.
Huge thanks to all our club members who took the time out to put us forward and we’re looking forward to attending the ceremony on 12th March to celebrate the club’s achievements to date.
Wish us luck (oh and better get an acceptance speech at the ready!!)

We’re very pleased to showcase our teams in their new kit – all fired up and ready for 2019 training and tournaments in their smart new VPFC branded shirt and navy co-ordinating shorts and socks. If you haven’t received your kit as yet and you’ve paid your subs, please contact your coach to grab hold of this season’s strip.
VPFC had a great day with Watford FC – from the training in proper winter conditions to seeing the professionals in action. We hope it was a day of inspiration for our young players that drives their passion for footie. Certainly memories were made – here’s a quick look at some of the photo moments of the day….

Ho Ho Ho! On Saturday 22nd December 2018, come to footie dressed to impress Santa. Please don your best Christmas hats, jumpers, headgear or glasses on top of your regular football kit for a spot of festive fun and celebrate the final 2018 match of the season.
We’re all very excited at VPFC about our upcoming Watford FC match day experience on Saturday 15th December 2018 which is also the day of Watford’s match against Cardiff City. We’ve got a great itinerary ahead with a ninety minute training session in the morning (11am-1230) led by the Watford FC coaches at their training ground in London Colney, plus a ticket for the game in the afternoon. There’s over 100 of us from the club going along so look out for some post event photos and thanks all for your support to what we hope becomes an annual event on the VPFC calendar.
For more information please check out the VPFC Pitchero app.
Please note: that there will not be any regular training sessions on the 15th December at Victoria Playing Fields.
Well done all Year 1s on finishing their first season at VPFC. A huge thank you goes to Coach Paul for bringing on their skills and abilities, come rain or shine. All parents can you register your child again for next season by visiting our ‘Join us’ page and filling in the form. Many thanks.

U9s had a great morning at the Hemel Youth tournament. All games were played with a fantastic team spirit; all players working hard and supporting each other – well done everyone!

Two teams of five Under 7’s played ten games between them in two groups, won two games, and drew two. Both teams visibly grew in confidence and cohesion through the afternoon, playing teams with more players at the top end of the age range. We look forward to building on that confidence in our new season in the autumn.

Some of our younger players went on a tournament this weekend and managed to do really well, winning one of their matches 2-0. Well done to them!
