ℹ️ Team Overview

VPFC U11 Victoria formed in 2023 from players ready to graduate from VPFC’s Skills section and move on to playing League Football.

For our first two years (before VPFC had a League section), we played under the St Albans Rangers banner. In 2025 we returned home to VPFC.

The team plays in the Herts Youth League – U11 Larch Division, having been promoted from Oak division in October 2025.

Our Team Ethos is centred around three things:
Respect: For each other, our coaches, parents and opposition.
Improvement: Learning and getting better over time.
Fun: Enjoying ourselves!

⚽ Coaches

Mark Betteley – Manager

Mark began coaching at VPFC back in 2011. After a couple of seasons with U11s, his eldest son joined VPFC in Reception. That group later became a League Team under St Albans City Youth, where Mark is still manager and they now play at U18. U11 Victoria includes his youngest child — the third in the family to come through VPFC.

Gordon Baisley – Coach

Gordon has been part of VPFC for 8 years, starting with his eldest son’s year group. After helping coach that side, he went on to establish the Skills Group for his middle son’s age group when he joined. For the past three seasons he has been coaching U11 Victoria, where his youngest now plays.

Peter O’Donovan – Coach

Peter has been coaching with U11 Victoria since the team was formed three seasons ago. Before joining VPFC, he led a very large age group at OA Rugby, where he gained valuable experience in organising and supporting junior players.
